HOMEWOOD — The Homewood Police Department is working to determine how a man found dead in Shades Creek died.
Joshua Chase Callender, 28, of Homewood, was first reported missing after he had not been seen since March 27, 2021.
Family members said he left his home with a family dog. The dog and a Callender’s backpack were found on April 6, in a local nature preserve.
The next day, the Homewood Police Department found Callender’s body floating in Shades Creek at an interstate 65 bridge support. The body was found during an organized search.
