Minnesotan 2nd Fastest Time for American Woman in Boston Marathon

Emma Bates, from Elk River, Minnesota, was the first American to cross the 2023 Boston Marathon finish line and the fifth woman in the entire race. She now holds the second fastest time in the Boston Marathon for women.
