Arvin Pearlman has a successful law practice, but that’s not the only way he helps people in need. He also serves as a substance abuse recovery coach to other lawyers.

Pearlman, who has been sober for several years now, became certified so he could help others fight and conquer their own demons. He said his wife gave him the push to consider a career in recovery coaching. He enrolled in a specialized program at Western Michigan University, earned a graduate certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling, and became certified as a Substance Abuse Recovery Coach.
