A recent survey conducted during the Winter Birding Festival (WBF) 2024 by the 7WEAVES research team flagged the decline in the number of migratory birds across seven different locations close to water bodies in Guwahati. The survey found a total of 2,502 birds, showing a slight decrease from the previous year. The decline in migratory birds is a cause for concern as they play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.
