Migrant workers from Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, and Malkangiri districts in southern Odisha have started returning to their workplaces after voting in the general elections. Thousands of workers from these districts migrate to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka for work in construction, prawn processing, and brick kilns. The participation of migrant workers in the elections is reflected in the high voter turnout percentages. Officials are working on registering and providing support to these migrant workers.
