Michigan teachers to receive $500 hazard pay by Feb. 25

Michigan teachers and school staff who worked during the pandemic will receive hazard pay of up to $500 from the State of Michigan by Feb. 25, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury.
The grant programs, both created through Public Act 166 in 2020, recognize public and nonprofit nonpublic K-12 teachers and staff that had to work more than usual and faced additional expenses while transitioning to online learning.
