Michigan halts J&J vaccinations as sites scramble to switch to Moderna or Pfizer

The U.S. is recommending those administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine stop doing so for now while the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration investigate reports of potentially dangerous blood clots.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's office said Tuesday the state will heed federal warnings and halt the Johnson & Johnson vaccine rollout as localities across Michigan scramble to switch appointments to doses of Moderna and Pfizer.
