Michigan adds 510 cases, 57 deaths from COVID-19
Michigan on Thursday added 510 cases and 57 deaths from the coronavirus.
The figures bring Michigan's total number of cases to 889,511 and deaths to 19,266 since the virus was first detected in March 2020, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
Cases and testing positivity in the state have declined for the last six weeks. The statewide seven-day average of tests returning positive is 3.3%.
Last week, the state added 3,778 cases and 158 deaths, a decrease from the week prior when Michigan added 8,578 cases and 332 deaths from the virus. During the week of May 9-13 when the state added 11,991 new cases and 402 deaths from the virus.
