I completed a Bachelors in Veterinary Biology (BSc) in 2009, followed by a Bachelors in Veterinary Science (BVSc) in 2012, at the University of Pretoria, in South Africa. I was then given the opportunity to pursue a PhD on the impacts of air pollution in wild birds at the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada, which I completed at the end of 2017. Since then I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in Durban, South Africa, with the South African Co-Chair and Technical Support Unit of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group II.
