(Cleveland) - One of the most iconic rock and roll figures in Cleveland has died. Michael Stanley died Friday from lung cancer at the age of 72. Word of his health issues came out this week when WNCX Radio announced that Stanley was off the air because of serious health issues.
WNCX is saying that Michael will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make contributions in his memory to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank or the Cleveland Animal Protective League. The family put out a statement thanking Hospice of the Western Reserve, his friends, and extended family for being there for him.
