Meriden is set to receive $1.8 million in state funding to help remediate properties where a 92-unit apartment building is now planned.
According to information released by the office of Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, the money will be used to clean up two brownfield sites, 289 and 290 Pratt St., totaling 14.3 acres.
New York developer Steven Ancona plans to build the apartments and first-floor commercial space at 289 Pratt St., with additional parking for businesses at 290 Pratt St.
