Memorial Day 2021: APD Will Enforce Watercraft Ban On Lake Austin

AUSTIN,TX — Motorized water crafts will not be allowed on Lake Austin over the Memorial Day Weekend, officials announced Friday.
The Austin Police Department Parks and Lake Patrol Unit will prohibit the use and operation of motorized water crafts on Lake Austin beginning at sunset on Friday. The ban, which only applies to Lake Austin, is expected to end at sunrise on Tuesday.
The ban applies to a personal watercraft, wet bikes, motorized surfboards and similar devices (designed to be operated by a person sitting, standing, or kneeling on the vessel).
