Police raid at a massage parlour at Taman Melaka Raya.
MELAKA: A sob story did not deter police here from handing out a RM10,000 compound notice to the owner of a massage parlour that had been operating illegally during the movement control order (MCO).
Melaka CID Chief Asst Comm Mohd Sukri Kaman said the 48-year-old man had tried to plead his case by saying that he had to keep his Taman Melaka Raya business open to pay the monthly rental, utility bills and staff salaries.
The owner had pleaded his case when police raided the premises on the first floor of a shophouse at 3.10pm on Thursday (June 3).
