Some 277 children will be getting Christmas presents this year thanks to a small business owner in Garwood.
Phil Rinaldi, owner of STAR Contracting, Inc., purchased tens of thousands of dollars in toys and accessories for kids whose parents are struggling to make ends meet in Plainfield, Bound Brook and Garwood.
Through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program, which helps to provide gifts to children in need nationwide, Rinaldi and his wife, Meg, were able to coordinate purchases and assist in distribution along with Rinaldi’s staff at STAR.
