Google runs its Startups Accelerator programme in India, dubbed Google for Startups Accelerator India programme. It is said to support startups that are solving societal and economic challenges specific to the country, using technology. These startups picked under the programme receive three months of mentorship and support from Google's network of industry mentors. The ongoing support ranges from access to Google teams, tech guidance on projects, machine learning related support, UX and design mentorship, leadership workshops, networking opportunities, PR support and more. The fifth class of GFS Accelerator India 2021 has identified 16 Indian startups. These 16 are said to have been picked after the screening of over 700 applicants.
