Khanice Jackson
Robert Fowler, the 50-year-old mechanic who has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Khanice Jackson in Portmore, St Catherine last month, has been remanded in police custody after appearing in court.
The accused, who is otherwise known as ‘Backra’, and of a Portmore address, made his first court appearance via Zoom in the Home Circuit Court on Friday.
The case file is yet to be completed, resulting in the matter being set for mention on July 8.
A post-mortem examination determined that Jackson was strangled.
Shortly after Fowler was charged, Deputy Commission of Police, Fitz Bailey, said the mechanic would often take Jackson to and from work.
