The Lafayette Parish School System is expanding food distribution to area youths to provide supplemental nutrition while schools are closed for Easter and spring break, which is Good Friday through Monday, April 5.
This program is available to all children in Lafayette Parish age 18 and younger regardless if they are enrolled in LPSS schools. Meals will be distributed via drive-through service-only Saturday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Lafayette Parish at the following school sites:
Broadmoor Elementary School, 609 Broadmoor Boulevard
Live Oak Elementary School, 3020 N. University Avenue
Northside High School, 301 Dunand Street
Meal boxes will consist of five days of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack foods for a total of 20 meals. The boxes will contain fresh, frozen and shelf-stable foods.
