MCT holds auditions for Magic Tree House classic

Rows of kids sit criss-cross applesauce on a stage, raising their fists and bobbing their heads as they chant “Yo Ho” to the lively beat of a catchy pirate tune. 
This sing-along is one of 13 songs the kids will rehearse during the pre-production for Missoula  Children’s Theatre’s upcoming play, “Pirates Past Noon.”
Based on the fourth book in Mary Pope Osborne’s Magic Tree House series, “Pirates Past Noon” follows the adventures of Jack and Annie as they navigate the dangerous world of Caribbean pirates.
Except in this adaption, even the parrots wear masks. Which can pose a problem in live theater.
