A BUSINESS owner said he felt scared to leave the house after he was targeted in a series of social media posts that accused of being racist and called him a ‘Nazi’.
Jason McCullough said he felt ‘upset’ by comments made towards him on Facebook by defendant Mohammed Ramzan.
The 41-year-old defendant, of Douglas Street on Walney, had denied a charge of harassment and stood trial at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Mr McCullough told the court he was targeted by the defendant in posts and comments on Facebook between August 14 and August 17 last year.
Giving evidence under cross-examination, he told magistrates he had been subjected to comments calling him ‘fat’, a ‘racist’ and using the term ‘McNazi’ in reference to the business that he runs alongside his brother, fast food company McMunchies.
