Maury County residents urged to stay inside amid manhunt near Hampshire Pike

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A suspect was taken into custody following a multi-county police chase and manhunt in Maury County.
The police chase began in Hickman County and continued into Maury County, ending when the vehicle, which was being chased by Centerville Police officers, crashed on Hampshire Pike Thursday afternoon.
The suspect ran into the woods, but his female passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported to Maury Regional Medical Center.
Officials asked people to avoid the area and stay in their homes with the doors locked, specifically for those on the south side of Hampshire Pike, while they searched for the suspect. They also urged anyone living in the area of Cross Bridges and Canaan Road to not leave keys in ATVs, UTVs or vehicles.
