A MAN has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery and carrying a knife.
Matthew Ward, 25, pleading guilty to robbery, attempted robbery and carrying a bladed article in a public place during an incident in Llandudno in February.
Ward had equipped himself with a knife and entered Llandudno town centre on February 17, where he carried out two consecutive knife-point robberies at business premises.
He fled the scene and police enquiries recovered CCTV footage, clothing worn during the offences, the knife used and stolen cash.
Ward had been released from prison just two months earlier following a conviction for robbery, police said.
