ALLEN PARK -- Matthew Stafford doesn’t have to play in the finale. The Detroit Lions are buried in last place and already clinched double-digit losses for a third straight season. Minnesota is out of it too. There is no reason for Stafford to play whatsoever, and especially so given the injuries to his throwing hand, ribs and ankle.
