Massive star collapse causes 'brightest cosmic explosion of all time'

The brightest gamma-ray burst ever recorded was caused by the collapse and explosion of a massive star, astronomers have discovered. The event, dubbed the B.O.A.T. ('brightest of all time') was observed in October 2022
