Liverpool's pioneering mass testing pilot led to a reduction of more than a fifth of Covid-19 cases.
An evaluation of the city's SMART community testing pilot, which got underway in November last year, has found it had a positive impact on reducing the spread of the virus.
Liverpool was the first city in the UK to have a voluntary mass testing programme for people without coronavirus symptoms, with the armed forces brought on board to help staff more than 50 testing sites.
