DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett County's health department on Friday is set to open a mass coronavirus vaccination center in Duluth. Health officials said the site will be located at 2100 Pleasant Hill Rd. inside the former Sears store at Gwinnett Place Mall.
Friday will mark the facility's soft opening during which vaccines will be given out to small numbers of people. One day later, the site will aim to vaccinate more than 1,000 people a day, officials said.
A news conference with district health director Dr. Audrey Arona and Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday. Subscribe to Patch for the latest on Gwinnett County's vaccination efforts.
