Representatives of the Mashpee Commons told the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee on Tuesday, July 13, that 90 units of affordable housing could be constructed âup frontâ as part of a proposed mixed-use expansion.
Dozens of residents filled the Waquoit Meeting Room at Town Hall for the meeting, some asking pointed questions of the Mashpee Commons team during public comment after the presentation by the developers.
The Mashpee Commons has partnered with the Preservation of Affordable Housing, a national nonprofit focused on affordable housing, to incorporate affordable housing into the proposed three-way development agreement among the developers, the Town of Mashpee and the Cape Cod Commission, said Paul Niedzwiecki, a contractor representing the Mashpee Commons.
