MARYLAND.- No Arm Left Behind. That’s Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s approach as the state fights its way toward herd immunity.
According to the Maryland Department of Health, half of Marylanders have had at least one dose with 43% fully vaccinated.
Although this is so, health officials say Marylanders shouldn’t back down now. “We really won’t stop pushing that message until we’ve vaccinated the overwhelming majority of Marylanders who can get a vaccine,” said Maryland Department of Health Dr. Cliff Mitchell
Worcester County isn’t far behind from the state’s overall numbers with 48.5% of the population receiving at least one dose. The Health Department says that their focus has been on being present and accessible in the community, providing support anyway they can. “There’s so many hands on deck and we’re very big on it takes a village to meet any public health goal in Worcester County,” said Worcester County Health Department’s Travis Brown.
