Mary Castle School Shooter Believed Dead After Chase Into Illinois
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A man wanted in the shooting of a parent outside an elementary school in Indianapolis is believed to be dead after a police chase near Terre Haute.
IMPD detectives say Brandon Shockley was the man who shot the parent at Mary Castle Elementary School. Detectives tracked down a car similar to one that Shockley used to get away on westbound I-70 in Terre Haute.
The driver refused to stop and tried to flee police, used stop sticks to try to bring the car to a stop. The driver kept going at slower speeds into Illinois after hitting stop sticks and eventually went off into a ditch.
