FAIRMONT — On Tuesday Martin County Commissioners approved a resolution adopting a tax levy for 2020, collectible in 2021. The total tax levy was $17.5M, which is a 2.81 percent increase from the previous year.
In a similar vein, the board adopted a resolution establishing expenditures and revenues for 2021. The total for expenditures was $28.6M, while total revenues were set for $11.1M.
The board also approved a resolution to set salaries for Martin County elected officials. The county Attorney will receive a salary of $138,144, the County Auditor/Treasurer will receive a salary of $93,308, the Sheriff will receive $123,094, and the County Recorder will receive $76,918. The salaries reflect a 2.1 percent general wage adjustment increase.
