Boston College High School
Several Marshfield residents were named to the honor roll for the first quarter of the 2020-21 school year at Boston College High School in Boston. Students who earned high honors are John Dunderdale, William MacGrath, Connor McCabe, Gavin O'Hara, Shane Roycroft, William Steinaway, Dennis Stiles, Luke Willett, Samuel Burns, Matthew Byrne, John Canavan, Alexander Church, John Church, Benjamin Galvin, Christian Kelley, Jake Minicucci, Sean O'Connell, Seamus O'Reilly, Aidan Walker, Eric Walsh, Thomas Atkinson, Andrew Gagne, Connor Goodwin, John Oliva, Robert Atkinson, Liam Enwright and Daniel Moylan. To earn high honors, a sophomore, junior and senior must have a quality point average of 3.8 or higher and all grades must be “C-plus” or higher. Freshmen must have a quality point average of 3.6 or higher and all grades must be “C-plus” or higher. Students who earned honors are Joseph Galvin, Christopher Capozzi, Wesley Fennell, Braden Misiaszek and Brendan Coughlin. To earn honors, a sophomore, junior and senior must have a quality point average of 3.2 or higher and all grades must be “C-minus” or higher. Freshmen must have a quality point average of 3.165 or higher and all grades must be “C-minus” or higher. BC High successfully reopened for in-person learning in September using a hybrid model, with two cohorts of students coming onto campus on alternating weeks. This model provided all BC High students with completely synchronous learning opportunities throughout the fall, regardless of whether the student was at school or at home. The school also implemented extensive safety protocols to help keep students, faculty, staff and others healthy during the pandemic, and plans to continue offering in-person instruction in January.
