Marriage trio: Klemp brothers, Schuelke sisters going strong

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — When Doug Klemp and Denise Schuelke started dating back in the mid-1990s, they recall being “all in” right off the bat.
The way the couple saw it, they had to be — holidays, birthdays and other family celebrations would be pretty awkward if they didn’t stay together.
That’s because their coupling marked the third Klemp boy to get together with a Schuelke girl. The two oldest Schuelke daughters — Toni and Shelly — had been married to the two oldest Klemp sons — Darrel and Dave — since 1988 and 1989, respectively.
