Market recovers, VN-Index gains more than 31.6 points
The VN-Index, the benchmark on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), rose 3.09 per cent, equivalent to 31.64 points, to 1,055.58 points. The stock sell-off ended and the market breadth was returning to positive territory with 341 stocks increasing, while 114 stocks declined.
The 30 large-cap tracker VN30-Index also climbed 3.68 per cent to end Friday morning's session at 1,047.93 points. Twenty-seven of the 30 large-cap basket increased, while only three stocks went down.
Of the 30 largest stocks, FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company (ROS) was the only stock to hit the maximum daily loss. The share traded at VNÄ4,480 at the end of the morning session, down 6.86 per cent.
