How the case against Edward J. Duncan developed
A news release from the Citrus County Sheriff's Office states that last month, that agency's Tactical Impact Unit received information that a significant amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine was flowing into Citrus via Marion County.
Working with their Marion counterparts, the agency determined that Duncan was selling, at an almost daily pace, drugs to low-level dealers in Citrus.
Once law enforcement officials felt they had enough information for an arrest, they went to Duncan's residence, located in the 5800 block of Southwest 206th Avenue, and detained him.
Searching the property, authorities said they recovered drugs, firearms and $112,170 in cash hidden in air ducts. In total, law enforcement officials said the street value of the drugs found was nearly $600,000.
