The County Commission on Tuesday approved a $360,000 project for the courthouse parking garage.
County officials said the money is expected to come from the general fund. Commissioners Jeff Gold, Carl Zalak, Michelle Stone and Kathy Bryant voted yes for the funding. Commissioner Craig Curry was absent.
The money is needed to fix the fifth floor of the Marion County Judicial Center parking garage, which county officials said "is in need of immediate repair in order to prevent structural damage to the remainder of the parking garage."
Though the first four floors are scheduled to be repaired, county officials said, the fifth floor was identified as a priority at the conclusion of an "extensive inspection."
