Using the six-ticket concept, the largest Marion high school, West Port, would end up with roughly 3,400 attendees, or 57% capacity. Dunnellon, one of the smaller high schools, would have 1,500 attendees, or about 25% capacity.
Beth McCall, citing COVID-19 health concerns, was adamant at keeping the tickets set at six per graduate, regardless of school size. However, she relented after Campbell's detailed and spirited speech.
Ultimately the district decided to give 10 tickets to graduates at the three smallest high schools: Dunnellon, Lake Weir and North Marion.
Graduates from the two medium-size high schools, Belleview and Vanguard, will get eight tickets. Students attending West Port and Forest high schools, the two largest, will get six tickets.
