Many Palm Beach families altering their Christmas plans amid pandemic

Unlike previous years, Abby Bessenroth will celebrate a scaled-down Christmas this year amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Though much of her family lives locally, several others who traditionally visit Palm Beach during the holidays are staying home.
Town Councilwoman Maggie Zeidman and her husband, Mark, traditionally travel to Boston to see their son and his family during the holidays.
This year, they're staying home.
“If it applied to Thanksgiving, you knew it was going to apply to Christmas,” Zeidman said.
