This file picture was taken last year in Goni, in Larissa, where they revived old Greek Christmas customs. The carol singers are dressed in traditional capes and carry a fruit in their hands. They are warmed by the fire of big log that is burning in the fireplace. This is the “12-day log” that is burns during the 12 days of Christmas (the Dodekaimeron, 25 December to 5 January).
