A number of flats were evacuated as a bomb disposal team recovered a ‘suspicious’ item.
Police were called on Wednesday (December 16) to concerns for the welfare of a resident living in a flat in Boundary Way Garston.
Officers attended to conduct a welfare check and found a ‘suspicious item’ at the scene.
Hertfordshire Constabulary say that as a precaution, a number of flats had to be evacuated and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team were called to assess the item.

The assessment continued up until around 2.50 am on Thursday (December 17) and the area was then deemed safe.
