Mankhurd scrapyard fire doused; one firefighter injured

The fire at the
On Friday afternoon, a major fire broke out at the scrapyard in
Mandala, a slum-dominated area. The fire department identified it as a level-3 fire.
Fire officer Harish Nadkar (40) was injured during the operation to douse the fire. He was rushed to
Shatabdi Hospital at
Govandi. His condition has said to be stable.
As many as 19 fire tenders and 11 water tankers were deployed to the site as fire personnel continued to battle the blaze.
No causality has been reported in the incident, however, there is property damage.
