Manitowoc County road construction and traffic delays for summer 2021

MANITOWOC - They say Wisconsin has two seasons — winter and road construction.
Now that we're a few months out of winter, here are some road construction projects Manitowoc residents should plan on seeing throughout the county.
Wisconsin Department of Transportation projects
Interstate 43 thin polymer bridge overlays on 19 decks in the county
When: July-August
What: Work will be done in 2- to 3-mile work zones. Various lane closures will be in effect.
U.S. 151 asphalt paving, from State 67 to Valders city limits
When: May-September
What: Work will include milling 2-inch asphalt and placing 2-inch asphalt, beam guard, concrete curb, and gutter and pavement marking. U.S. 151 will remain open, with flagging operations in place during construction.
