This, as the city government of Manila on Wednesday rolled out its coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccination of the general population of minors in the city's six district hospitals -- Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Maynila, and Sta. Ana Hospital. The pediatric vaccination drew hundreds of minors who came to the assigned vaccination sites together with their parents or guardians which runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. In a media interview, Manila Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso said the city aims to further expand the pediatric vaccination in order to reach more minors. "By Friday, Saturday, or end of the week, gagawin na natin mas malaki na ulit, gagawin na natin to sa malls para si lola si lolo, si nanay at si tatay makapamasyal naman sa malls kasama yung mga bata (we will do this in a bigger venue, we will do this in malls, so that their parents, or even grandparents, may roam around the malls together with the kids)," he said. Domagoso thanked the parents and guardians for heeding the call of the city government to bring their children to the vaccination sites. As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, a total of 1,102 minors aged 12 to 17 have been vaccinated in the city's six district hospitals. The city government has allotted 500 doses of the Covid-19 jabs to each of the six hospitals. Meanwhile, as of Tuesday, the city has recorded a total of 53,325 minors who have preregistered for the Covid-19 vaccine. Domagoso assured that the city government has enough Covid-19 jabs as there are about 120,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccines that may be utilized for the pediatric vaccination. The city government reminds parents or guardians who will accompany their minor children to the vaccination sites to bring with them the child's birth certificate/Baptismal/School ID/person with disability (PWD) ID/ or any valid ID. Those who have comorbidities may present a medical certificate signed by their doctor. Parents also need to sign the consent and assent form at the vaccination sites. (PNA) }
