The option for students to appear for class 10 and 12 board exams twice a year will not be mandatory, according to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Pradhan stated that the option is being introduced to reduce stress caused by the fear of a single opportunity. Students will have the choice to select the best score from their attempts.
