ROSWELL – A Roswell man was given five consecutive life sentences in the killings of his wife and four daughters in 2016.
Juan David Villegas, 39, was sentenced to 150 years in prison after changing his plea from not guilty to no contest on five counts of first-degree murder on May 14, the fourth day of the trial in the case. State District Judge Dustin Hunter handed down the sentence Wednesday.

Villegas was charged with killing 34-year-old Cynthia Villegas and the couple’s four daughters, 14-year-old Yamilen Villegas, 10-year-old Cynthia J. Villegas, 7-year-old Abigayl Villegas and 3-year-old Idaleigh Villegas.
All were killed by gunshots to their heads.
