The man who died after reportedly being struck by a car outside Marks and Spencers in Walton Thursday (April 22) has been named by police.
Surrey Police, who are conducting a murder inquiry into what happened, formally identified 49-year-old Matthew Tester from Walton, known locally as Tik, as the "first victim" of the incident.
The second victim, who is also in his 40s, is being treated in hospital where his injuries have been assessed as serious but not life threatening.
A 26-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and attempted murder remains in police custody.
