A man who was wanted for months on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in connection with the August 2020 homicide of Logan Nayneecassum in Saskatoon has been arrested.
Afrah Ahmed Abdi, also known as Afrah Ali, was arrested Jan. 23 along with other men allegedly crossing the U.S.-Canadian border near Eureka, Montana. According to a U.S. government media release issued on Thursday, acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said the three men were arrested after a high-speed pursuit and made their first court appearances on Thursday.
