LAHORE:
A family court judge, in view of the pregnancy of a petitioner, has ordered her husband, the respondent, to pay Rs2,000 for her travel to the court in a car.
The lawyers from both sides argued over whether the woman could travel in public transport in an advanced stage of pregnancy. Judge Sohail Afzal remarked that giving birth was the most daunting task in the world. “Neither this court nor anyone else can gauge the suffering, pain and hardship being endured by the plaintiff at present.”
