Man threatening officers with knife dies after being shot by police: Berks County DA

One man is dead after a police-involved shooting in Berks County.
According to the Berks County District Attorney’s office, the incident happened around 2:15 p.m. Monday in Muhlenberg Township when authorities received a call from a woman saying a man with a knife was threatening her.
Muhlenberg Township police rushed to the home on the 700 block of Wagon Wheel Lane, where the woman who called said the man locked himself in an upstairs bedroom, investigators say.
Officers found a key, unlocked the door, and found the man brandishing a knife, investigators say. They ordered him to drop the knife, but he wouldn’t, police say. One officer used a Taser, which had no effect. A second officer shot the man in the chest, according to investigators.
