A man charged in connection to a standoff in Hastings in July was sentenced on Tuesday.
Court records show 37-year-old Gerald Edward Bolster was sentenced to five years (60 months) at the St. Cloud Correctional Facility. He was given credit for 172 days already served.
Bolster was convicted of three counts of threats of violents, one count of violating a harrassment/restraining order and two counts of child endangerment. He'd pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Authorities responded to a Hastings mobile home park near 31st Street and Millard Avenue at about noon on July 2. When officers told the man — later identified as Bolster — that he was going to be arrested, he barricaded himself in a home with two children inside.
