Man on death row who claimed self-defense in 2001 double killing denied clemency by Oklahoma governor

Phillip Hancock has long claimed he acted in self-defense when he shot and killed two people. Hancock’s execution went forward once Gov. Kevin Stitt declined to commute his sentence.
