A tenant arrested following a house fire that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old woman now faces a new charge of manslaughter
David Peter Gordon appeared by video from KRCC Monday for what was intended to be a bail hearing. But the matter was adjourned until Thursday.
Gordon faces one count of arson and another of manslaughter in wake of the fire. He remains in jail until at least his next court date.
Cheryl William, a cook at Sk'elep School of Excellence, was found unconscious following a fire in the 900 block of St. Paul Street on April 25. She was still in the building when firefighters arrived and pulled her out.
